Extension of the material handling system at McGuire AFB, USA

McGuire AFB is one of the US military's three air cargo hubs on the east coast. It handles a large part of the air freight bound for Europe, and on from there into the war zones in the Middle East and Afghanistan.
The cargo handling system was extended quantitatively by adding 82 storage slots and 10 staging dock lanes, as well as qualitatively by a direct link for pre-assembled pallets (2 x pre-pack dock conveyors - PPDC), a separate oversized cargo facility (OCF) and a computer aided inventory control system (ICS). The ICS has an automated pallet recognition and contour checking module. Additionally the ETVs already in use will be retrofitted with equipment for automated pallet alignment.
The scope of supply comprises the complete extension including all the mechanical equipment as well as the construction jobs. Work is proceeding without any downtime of the system and conclusion of the project is planned for April 2012.

New cargo terminal for Servisair, London Heathrow

Since Servisair's cargo handling system at London's Heathrow Airport was completely destroyed by fire in July 2010 it will now be reconstructed using the original layout and plans.
The system consists of a manually controlled 25 ft ETV and a 25 ft Shuttle TV which address high-bay racking with 56 storage slots on four levels (both 20 ft and 25 ft). The airside interface is made up of five height-adjustable 25 ft roller decks.
Two 20ft truck docks and three workstation islands (10 ft and 20 ft) including TV, scissor lift tables RA decks and materials handling equipment complete the system.
Hand-over is planned for August 2011.
